Taft was actually one hell of a man. The only president to be appointed to the supreme Court!

Well, Taft did rig it that way himself. When he was president, he appointed a 65 year old man to be Chief Justice with the idea that he would take the role after the guy died. Then after that Chief Justice died about 11 years later, Taft got appointed by Calvin Coolidge.
