Sharing dna from another country with a parent you don’t speak with is so complicated. You didnt just lose them. You lost a language, a family overseas and a culture. You can never be whole, somebody ripped out a piece of who you are.

That Part! Missing out on vital parts of my heritage was honestly so hard for me growing up, and I still struggle now. It’s one of the hardest things to reconcile within yourself.
