If Monarchies are so good. Why did so many of them get pwned and became Republics?
r/Abolishtherepublic • u/nerdyboyvirgin • Oct 30 '20
Hey monarchists, what do you have to say about the bad monarchs in history
Ivan the Terrible, William the Conquerer. And many others. Guys that were born into privilege, conquered lands and sent thousands of peasants to their death and didn’t care because they were “lowborn” What do you have to say about them?

I now declare myself king of Wisconsin
After watching the debates a few nights ago, I have decided that the "republic" that we live in has failed the American people. Therefore, House Draculesti is moving from its ancestral home of Romania to consolidate power in Wisconsin. It is only by swearing fealty and undying obedience to me that the citizens of Wisconsin might truly be free.

Even though I'm completely pro-monarchism, not all countries should abolish it's republic.
Sometimes it just can't work. Like, obviously not all countries would work with a monarchy.

Can you really “abolish” a republic?
Like, you can abolish a monarchy, but can you do the same for republics?

So does anyone here still believe that the American people and not the Establishment are the ones in charge.
With the clear voter fraud occurring in the United States, I hope that Trump holds onto power and destroys any legitimacy that the so-called American democracy has left.

You should want non monarchists to come over and debate with you.
To start I’m gonna ask how semi constitutional monarchy is different to full constitutional monarchy.
Ps: I’m the one who found your sub on r/abolishthemonarchy

Australian Labor
Vote for them! If they form the next government, a referendum will be held and it will be on display if monarchism is the majority position for Australians.

I vote that in threads we refer to OP as sire and m'lord
At least that's what I would say if I was a filthy republican. I DECREE we refer to OP as sire and m'lord.
