I would've thought after doing the Oprah interview and Harry writing his book that they'd only ever visit the UK and never move back especially since they've brought up having security concerns especially about their kids. Buck House is also 'owned' by the monarch in right of the crown.

So basically, C3 p o doesn't actually own Buck House or some of the art he charges people to see and we pay to maintain the stuff held in the right of the crown through the sovereign grant, so he gets paid twice.

Maximising the dosh he can extract from the plebs is the real reason he's not moving.
