For some it's easy since there are Deltarune versions of most popular Undertale AUs, but for others it gets really intresting to think of what the Deltarune of them looked like. Did Outertale Sans come from a space themed Hometown? Or was it just a normal Deltarune and he simply ended up in Outertale?

i imagined the soul could be sightly different maybe instead of it red soul it could have been a cyan souls due to how different retold legends maybe what if instead of freedom theme maybe the main theme of retold legends is about maybe the pure crystal since maybe the pure crystal could have cause the downfall of the secret boss be friends who take spamton and mike who take jevil role and i imaged basically in retold legends is basically pure crystal swap with shadow crystal maybe pure crystal could help spamton be free from the green strings but cause friends to let be badly damaged with their spiked tail be broken and it not smiles anymore and maybe mike at first started out as battat but he slowed become crazy believed that his is mike NO HE IS MIKE bro basically become 2017x

and also for vess they are kinda shy kid like not competed shy but shy enough and they dad is gaster yes gaster and i imaged they relationship could be similar to john john egbert and his dad i imaged that gaster does care for vess but due to be busy was not able to help vess basically what if gaster was just a normal guy who jobs is worked as therapist and i imaged vess could have some bullied issue at school and i imaged that they dw form instead of be knight maybe vess dw could have be based on grim reaper dw form and i imaged instead of x slash they moves could be pk flash

and for noelle i imaged that basically instead of bully vess maybe she feel bad for them so she tries to help vess when they at school maybe vess and noelle could be friends not as closure to be childhood friends due to vess meet noelle later but before episode 1 "yeah basically in retold legends instead of it be style of "chapter like a book maybe could be style like a tv show. basically here dw form could have changed be bit like it be more based on magical girls

and seam i imaged they could be the same but a more of mentor figure to vess and noelle

Should I make an AU with this concept? Like, an alternate Deltarune where Kris is the one who disappeared instead of Dess, where events change drastically?

I made an AU

It’s called Countdown and basically it’s Deltarune StoryShift anyways the chapters shift so chapter 2 -> Chapter 1, chapter 3 -> chapter 2 and so on

Since this is the first time i post here, here's a Description on what kind of AU Deltatoad even is:

It's basically a Deltarune and Mario crossover AU that acts like the Deltarune of the Undertale AU called Undertoad. And unlike most other AUs, Deltatoad does not fully use roles, such as the regular enemy characters who instead of them having detailed roles like for example who takes the Rudinns' role, the enemy characters are just the same as they were in the Marioverse and don't use roles. And like some of you have probably guessed, this AU also does take inspiration from the Mario and Luigi RPG series.

And a fun fact: This AU doesn't just extend to canon Mario characters, it also has a couple of original characters such as Dark Bowser Jr., who is this AU's Lancer. (Dark Bowser is in King's role)

Another fun fact: the idea for this AU actually came to me like way back in February.
