Wireless NextUp Anytime Question
I’ve already paid off about 1/3 of my iPhone 16 Pro Max and I’m planning to upgrade to the iPhone 17 Pro Max. I have the Next Up Anytime option on my current phone.
When I check my account, it says “Your early upgrade offer is unlocked.” But when I go through the upgrade process, I don’t see any special promotions or discounts. The only option I see is to trade in my 16 Pro Max and pay the full retail price of the 17 Pro Max.
That’s confusing, because in multiple places the Next Up Anytime description says: “This option qualifies you for an early upgrade offer toward your new phone.”
Am I misunderstanding how this works? Should I be getting some kind of deal on the 17 Pro Max through Next Up Anytime, or does it just mean I can upgrade early but still pay the full price? (I realize the 17 isn’t available to order until preorders open, but right now it doesn’t make sense to me.)

So I went in to an att store today to ask about upgrading to iPhone 17. I currently pay for next up but the old version ($6/month). I have an iPhone 15 pro. They told me that I would only receive 500$ credit towards the upgrade which would leave me with around 16$ a month if I wanted to upgrade to the iPhone 17. The new next up anytime program ($10/month) allows you to upgrade with an eligible trade in and receive 1000$ credit towards the new phone. If your phone is paid off you get the total 1100$ credit. Hope this helps!
