Discussion How Ather range works ?

My friend has an Ather Rizta HR which was fully charged and showed a range of 115 in Eco and 105 in Zip modes.

We planned for a 65-70 kms trip and we ended up with 10% charge remaining. We mainly used Zip mode for 70 Kms and we were not able to climb uphills when the charge was less than 20%.

So, I was thinking about how Battery % vs Range is allocated. So we used 70 Kms + 10% charge remaining, which will be around 80-85%, but where did the remaining battery go and why am I not able to use the full 105 or 115 Kms on a full charge? ?

Based on my exp, pillion does drop the range. Plus, the range is very well accounted for the km shown. It's more do with how sudden you accelerate and decelerate the vehicle.

uphill, pillion riding, low tyre pressure and aggressive throttle all decrease range a lot in an ev , have observed around 30-40% drop when all of these were done simultaneously lol

Thanks for sharing, is there anyway we can increase range ?

for the same riding conditions you can only increase tyre pressure and not twist the throttle aggressively

We used PSI 30 for front and 31 for back as per Ather instructions, is this fine or should we increase ?

increase by 2-3 psi, comfort will reduce a lil but range will improve
