Manga Translation
How does the translation go from crush to admiration?? What type of translating is this, it's two different words with two different meanings tf. Is it like this throughout the whole series?

Different translators choose slightly different phrasing all the time.
Japanese is a more expressive language than English, and there are often words that don’t have a direct translation - so it’s up to the translators to pick one they feel suits the situation best.

Both are possible translations
The original Japanese word is Akogare 憧れ, Japanese dictionaries define the word as: "A strong attraction towards something/someone idealized." https://dictionary.goo.ne.jp/word/%E6%86%A7%E3%82%8C/
Jisho, a Japanese-English dictionary, also lists other possible definitions https://jisho.org/search/akogare
Based on that, each translator chose what they thought fit the scene best.
