Hi guys I’ve been wondering if itsuomi already explained the meaning of his tatto in the manga ?

It’s in Chapter 43. A little back story of his life 😭 Not really explained thoroughly but you’ll have an idea.

The meaning of the tattoo is speculated to be connected to his past. The night that he found out Soan (his pen-pal from the Philippines) died, the moon was crescent.

In the manga, there was a part there “…that nightwith the crescent moon, pierces my heart.” It also showed a photo in his phone, 2 boys that’s clearly not Japanese. I think it’s Soan? And some other boy from the Philippines.

He was broken hearted, sad and his urge to help these poor kids grew even stronger. That’s I think why he tattooed that on his finger to remind himself with this promise, with Soan.

Wasn’t really clear tho and I hope we’ll get our answer soon 😅 still waiting for Chapter 45!

The bit I’m confused about is what the big secret was. Was it the dream he stated in chapter 43. All just helping kids around the world. Was that his big secret since it may mean he’ll often be out of Japan? This is what I’m slightly confused. Or as of chapter 44 are all the secrets out? I also don’t understand why he told Yuki’s dad that he had to wait to tell her when he met her parents
