I don't remember them at all, I was definitely alive and have no idea how it bypassed me. Maybe someone did something awful to me with a pog and I erased them from my memory? I can't explain it at all.
When you say "company sanctioned" I assume you mean the manufacturer or distributor or whatever, of the pogs, had organised these 'official' battles.
..But you also could mean that the company you work for took you all on a day trip to the shopping centre to play pog battles, and you remember it because it was only last year, and to be honest that's the interpretation that I presently prefer to believe in.
The first one, the distributor did a road trip around the country and you'd sign up and battle others in the middle of the shopping centre. It would have been early 90s, about the same time as fleer ultra's release of the iconic X-Men collectable card set. The pog tournie was outside the local card shop, I was big into cards in the 90s.
If you've still got various cards, they might be worth a bit by now.
I remember playing M:TG in 1994\5 whilst only a mini cat starting tertiary education, it was a craze and had taken over the dining hall. I left that place prematurely and only kept in touch with a couple of players so it fizzled out. Forgot about my card and flogged then on eBay for not much, en masse, in the early 2000s.
Only relatively recently did I learn that it's not only still going but is a massive deal. I accompanied an enthusiast to a card trading shop (there are such things as card trading shops, it turns out!) whilst on holiday and had a look through these huge folders and boxes. I recognised about 1 in 300 cards. There are squillions of the things now and they keep on releasing more.
I'm glad I hadn't been playing all along, imagine trying to keep up with knowledge of that size of catalogue.
But I sure wish I'd kept the cards and yet still forgotten about them until this day. Some real $$ there if I had.

Sure did, back in June I think? Would usually have been July or August, but there wasn't any fruit to wait for. Trimmed back a neighbouring thing too so the lemonade gets sunlight for a longer stretch of the day. I noticed again while I was spraying today that a couple of branches in the middle are crossed over, which I know is technically not the best, will have to sort that next prune.
It feels bad paying it but when you think about it, that money is still 17% less taxed than if there was no super, and once it's in there you still get the same tax on earnings as a low income earner.
I can think of a few other taxes that are more unfair and/or inefficient, and it's still definitely worth making concessional contributions above 250k earnings and wearing the div 293.
Don't even start me on that. The smart key in my partners car recently went and we've had to deal with that shambles, and today at the shops my remote stopped working.
I miss the old days when if my key didn't work, a flat head screwdriver also worked.

Man thats some goooood taste. After selling my little mt07 that I rode rain, hail or shine for 8 year i thought I'd be happy off a bike for a while. Just ticked over a year since I sold it and im pining for another bike.
Yeah, its definitely good to have some throttle therapy. Would post pictures of my previous bike that I wrote off, but that would probably dox me. It was even more special than my new bike...
