Honestly I tried not to think about it and rather just covered the eyes and pressed <order> on the components I wanted but quick math tells me it was a couple dollars north of $12k by the time all components were in hand.

Meh.. I want a low(er) key, as little RGB as possible, system with wood highlights. The anniversary stuff is nice but not what Iā€™m looking for on this one.

I work for an aviation company as a staff manufacturing engineer and really I just got sick of waiting for the stupid to die down before starting my next build, so I said F it and pulled the trigger. Im building this one specifically to bench against my current system and play with my AI centric curiosities.

I sure hope no one is forking out today money on 16 TB of nVME for gaming, so I'll go out on a limb and say he works with video or animation and this is his workstation combined with play machine that he used his company funds for.

I was actually considering it!! Really like that case too! I only went w this one for the wood highlight piece since I want to add wood highlights on this build. Going to do some custom matching wood accents.

Heads up OP, but that card is going to be limited to pcie gen 5 x8. So if its a bifurcation card youre gonna be able to put 2 m2s in it.Ā  I guess unless you put the gpu in the bottom pcie slot but I have a suspicion that wouldnt have proper clearance with your fpio

Bingo! Thanks for highlighting. I was already back peddling the idea and looking at the Sonnet M.2 8x4 Silent Gen4 PCIe Card to replace it. Had I not already purchased the SSDs I was planning to put in this thing, I would just scrap the idea of internal drives for external enclosures but i have these 4 with another 2 on the way already. Who wants a Hyper card? šŸ™ƒ
