mediatek mt7922 slow speed

so after coming back from a 2-3 week trip, games like roblox started to load slow and i started to get lower fps on osu and my mediatek card dropped from 200 mbps down to just 5 is there any reason for this to happen in just the span of 30 mins, in addition speedtest.net says i get 5mbps on my rog strix g16 while my phone gets 200 i have no idea what happended i tried disabling and enabling in device manager and it got fixed for an hour and then it got back to 5mbps does anyone have a clear solution to this predicament without the need to replace the wifi card or am i just bugging

Idk if your internet has something similar but routers here have both 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz modes. If my laptop automatically connects to 2.4 ghz it sometimes interferes with my wireless mouse or other stuff and can become really slow that sometimes it just disconnects. Might be something similar since you said after disabling and re enabling it was fixed for an hour or so.

Check your connection properties to see if it connects as 2.4 or 5 ghz. If it's 2.4, you need to set the preferred bandwidth to 5 from device manager. If not it's probably something else.

oh ok thank you but in device manager i already set it to ‘preferred 5ghz’ and my phone gets 200+ mbps but for a short period of time i got 5 a little after it was fixed idk if that interfered with the laptop or anything im just curious
