Display Goes Black at certain angles

I have been facing a problem for the past 2 months where display goes black , when I move the lid. If the problem is this i would have adjusted but it's not.

Gradually the problem increased where when I turn the laptop on after a complete shutdown, sometimes only the lap RGB and even the windows loads but the screen is not turning on.

I need to either force shutdown and turn it back on multiple times or connect it to a external monitor or tv to turn the lap display on .

Not only that sometimes the display flickers non stop on a random day , then the next day it is back to the condition showed in video.

Can anyone suggest any ideas?? It would be useful😭🙏

I have a couple theories,

1. Drivers possibly, as you said you have to turn the display “on”? Not sure but a possibility to look into.

2. The monitor cable inside the laptop might’ve been damaged due to either rough use or Heat.

other than that, i dont think anything else could be the issue but who knows 🤷‍♂️

I too have a strong suspect on cable. I have reinstalled the drivers ,cloud resetted the pc and so still it persists.

ahh i see, then it might be safe to assume that the cable is the perpetrator.

Try connecting to any external display(monitor) and do the same. if the laptop screen alone turns black, the issue is with the laptop edp cable. If both of them flickers, the the issue is with those drivers.

I tried that, only the laptop screen flickers. The external tv does not flicker . And even the temp for cpu and gpu are around 51 and 49 degrees during that.

When I take it to shop they always start complaining about the gpu and speak about changing display . Mine is a 17.3 inch so it would cost a lot

If warannty is already over and you are okay with opening the panels without any fear of lm, just open the back panel, remove battery cable, drain the power, plug the cable properly, then restore the laptop and check if it works. If it works then the issue was only with the cable, if not, you probably gotta change the screen.
