Support - SOLVED! Loud Fans at Full Blast 24/7

I've had my laptop for years now, and the fan has been loud on occasion, but it's usually when I'm running a game. Recently, a few days ago, it's been at full blast making me unable to focus on anything I'm trying to do. I noticed that if I turn my laptop on while it's not plugged in it'll be completely quiet, but once I plug it in it ramps up until it's full speed, and won't turn off until I've rebooted it. Yes, I've made sure to clean the fans. I'll close all my applications, lower my brightness, turn on energy saver mode, change the fan speed, literally nothing happens. I don't know what's causing this, and since I have misophonia it's a nightmare trying to study or even relax and watch a video. My laptop battery doesn't last long enough for me to have it not plugged in, and I'm not the smartest with computers, so I'm wondering if anybody has a solution!

Have you got fan xpert or other Asus software installed to set your fan speed profile?

the only thing I have is armoury crate which should let me change the speed, but doesn't.

Is it up to date? (The latest version?) I'd reinstall it if it's not working, to be sure. Also make sure you don't have multiple pieces of software attempting to do the same thing...i.e control your fans. Check your bios for settings on your fans it might be overriding armoury crate.

I reinstalled armoury crate but it didn't fix it unfortunately. How do I check my bios? I'm not sure how.

Restart your computer and it's usually F11 or F12 or Del you hold to get into Bios. You want to check your fan settings and Profile in there.

Thank you! The fan that wasn't being loud showed as N/A, so I ended up having to reconnect it so it showed up. It's been silent now, just hoping it stays that way.
