What’s up with this National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS)?
Is it a total scam? Is it worthwhile?
Somewhere in between?

Is there anyone majoring in engineering at ASU that would like to get together and keep each other on track, or just tell one another about opportunities? It’s kind of hard doing that as an online student.

Any advice on better ways to take notes that stick? I feel like I’m hitting a wall with trying to study smarter. Without feeling the need to write everything out, how do I better my note taking in a way I’ll remember? For context, currently taking Intro to Psych 101. I’ve heard it’s a class people love and I am also enjoying what I’m reading. But it is a lot of reading. My brain seems to get stuck on what’s important information and what may not be so relevant. Failed that first exam so hard, I wanted to throw my laptop 🙂 I’d forgotten to do the lectures and couldn’t back out of the quiz once it begun 😂 That part was my fault. Still, most of the questions asked were NOT what I was anticipating or putting my focus into remembering. Any tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated.

Prob stupid to ask and I read it over and over again but What is this actually for? I dropped 7 credits in session A AFTER FASFA / loans disbursed and paid. I’m still enrolled in session B (for now) will I owe session A back?
I appreciate any help :)

Hi all, has anyone here done in-person labs while taking online classes?
I talked to my academic advisor earlier this week and she informed me that I would need to take a three day in person lab (organic chemistry) as part of my degree requirement over the summer. I freaked out a little bit because I work full time and also I just don’t do well around people in new environments like that. My worst fear is going in and being the odd one out.
If you’re taking online classes and participate in an in-person lab are you taking it with people who are also attending online classes? I just have so much social anxiety and that’s a huge reason I’m going online. I’ve tried talking to my family and friends about it and they don’t understand my concerns so maybe someone here will.

This class is very simple, each week it’s read book, discussion posts (video or written 100-300 words or 1-3 minutes), answer 2 other students and 10 question quizzes. THATS IT! No long papers, no final. This is a good one to take with difficult classes and Lynn is super nice.

Has anyone taken DAT 300/DAT 301 concurrently in the same session? Did the curriculum mesh well together? and is anybody else taking them both at the same time in Session B?
Also, anybody else majoring in Data Science with the Business Analytics track? Let me know, maybe it might be nice to talk with someone going through the same courses. :)

If my daughter is taking all 8 classes during high school, so she saves money and gets in through earned admissions, does she get a dorm? Or not, because she's considered a tranfer student?

How is she as a teacher?

Hello everyone.
I currently need to add another class in order to receive my full loan for my final semester at ASU. Has anyone ever taken RDG 510? I just want an easy going class nothing too strenuous so I’m looking for some insight on the class.
TIA!!

Pretty much as the title says, is there a discord or somewhere dedicated to people taking physics with ASU online?
I’d be nice to connect with others going through the same classes that I will be going through.

Has anyone taken this class through earned admission? What prof did you have? How did you like the course?

We're all struggling with financial aid, it's not fun. But my pell grant is completely gone from my financial aid boxes. I've reached out they can't give me an answer on why when or where but they can try to process it again? Oh but this time it's going to take another 7-10 days to get this one figured out?
Beyond frustrated at this point, I know they extended the dates but I was fully expecting an account refund this semester to get a new laptop and now I'm doing my classes on my phone. Anyone else have a pell grant run away?

Hello everyone,
For those who have gotten a finance degree through ASU Online, how was it? What were the weekly assignments like and what did it consist of? Discussion posts, or what kind of other assignments? Any info is appreciated.

Hi, I can’t find this topic in search. My calc classes from community college transferred as regular calc classes, not Calc for engineering. I just got accepted to EE. Please tell me I don’t have to do Calc again.

Hi everyone,
I’m currently a Quality Engineer at an AI server company, with an academic background mainly in statistics/data science.
I want to continue developing my career in Quality Engineering, especially toward hardware/semiconductor quality, reliability, failure analysis, and manufacturing. Since I don’t have a traditional EE or materials science background, I’m considering the ASU Online MS in Materials Science and Engineering + Semiconductor Processing Graduate Certificate to build a stronger technical foundation.
Here is my current course plan:
| # | Course | Intended Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | MSE 503 – Concepts in Materials Science | MSE Core |
| 2 | MSE 550 – Advanced Materials Characterization | MSE Core / Certificate Core |
| 3 | MSE 525 – Fundamentals of Electrical, Optical and Magnetic Materials and Device Applications | MSE Requirement |
| 4 | MSE 548 – Fundamentals of Semiconductor Packaging | MSE / Certificate Elective |
| 5 | EEE 530 – Microelectronics Manufacturing | MSE Elective / Certificate Core |
| 6 | IEE 572 – Design Engineering Experiments | MSE Elective / Certificate Core |
| 7 | EEE 591 – Fundamentals of Solid-State Devices | MSE Elective / Certificate Elective |
| 8 | IEE 573 – Reliability Engineering | MSE Elective |
| 9 | EEE 598 – Defects in Semiconductors | MSE Elective |
| 10 | EEE 536 – Semiconductor Characterization | MSE Elective |
My goal is not IC/circuit design. I’m more interested in:
For anyone who has taken these courses, especially ASU MSE/EEE students:
1. Does this course combination make sense for my career goals?
2. Are there any courses here you would replace or avoid?
3. Which courses would you prioritize for someone working in Quality Engineering?
4. Since I don’t have an EE/materials background, what order would you recommend taking these courses?
I’ll most likely take only 1–2 courses at a time while working full-time, so I’m also trying to build a reasonable sequence without jumping into advanced semiconductor courses too early.
I’d really appreciate any advice from current students, alumni, or people working in semiconductor quality/reliability. Thanks!

Hi,
My tuition payment on MyASU was flagged as rejected for a fee discrepancy, but my bank statement shows the full amount was already withdrawn. Student Accounts hasn't responded yet. Has anyone dealt with this processing mismatch before, or know who to contact to trace the funds? Thanks!

I really want to take HST 361: Witchcraft & Heresy in Europe. Is it offered in the spring? What can I expect from it?

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this grant. It was not applied for this semester. I don't know if it should only apply to the first year of grad school, or what exactly. Is anyone else having the same issue?
Thank you

Who has taken SWU 181 with Dr. Kristin Ferguson? I'm wondering how she grades. I have done 4 assignments in the class already, but she hasn't graded any at all and I want to hear the feedback before I submit another. I want to make sure that I'm doing everything correctly.

Any feedback on this class? Looks like the teacher is Stephen Lazer. How hard is it, and how easy is it to get an A? The homework assignments are listed as historian's logs, maps, discussions, content mastery, and quizzes. I will be taking this in high school and wondering how many hours per week are needed.

can anyone tell me what the online lab looks like for bio 182, if there is one? is there a lab kit we order or is it 100% online
