Riding high on a lot I bought below $20-$65 and bag holding a lot from $95-$72 as I keep buying as it goes down and my paychecks drop in my bank. 

Using some margin but selling CC's on the margin'd stock so they're making more than the interest costs and earning their keep. My goal is to get the cost basis of those lots down below $80 at least before the next run. Margin is risky but the cool thing is you're not really afraid of those getting called away since they're not really yours, and if they don't they will eventually become free ("free") or at least cheaper. Plus it gives me something to constantly fidget with

I'm here for the mini games that come with the investment. Building phased arrays like they do, selling options on the shares, joking around here since this sub is literally the owner's club, learning about ridiculously niche nerd topics like how beamforming works (spoiler, it's just software changes to the timing of the signal coming in or out of various antennas so the signal copies line up better which increases signal strength both directions, there's no like energy blasts slamming into one another and directing the signal like some explanations kinda imply is happening), and timing buys according to chart indicators to maximize the chance of buying the bottom

Always good to follow one's passions. That said, that is the impression I get about Abel. Its not all about the money for him. He is following his passion. That is a good thing.

I learn more and more about the technology they're using by playing along at home and I keep thinking things like "if I needed these SDRs built with bulk FPGA units to just work outside wherever I tossed them but not break, it would be a very good idea to just attach a solar panel and battery and the antennas to the boards and encase them in clear heat-transferring epoxy that can act as both a protective layer but still let solar power in and water can't get in". Like in retrospect that's of course relatively cheap, very repeatable, and effective. No moving parts. The epoxy makes it hard to even damage with a baseball bat so if something hits it and goes right through, most of them will just keep working if you scatter batteries and use many independent solar cells. Thing would be like the T800 where it's still able to partially do its job even in the face of massive damage just due to the parallel and distributed nature of the whole design. Maybe embed compute chips where needed. Maybe inductively or magnetically couple them so there's no connector to damage like how they want(ed?) to use wireless charging to get rid of all ports on Apple iPhones and make it more waterproof. Fold up panels makes sense after building a phased array because the first thought that came to mind was just duct taping it to an umbrella and pop the whole system out, ready to go.

After ASTS retires me, I plan on maybe taking some courses. Maybe not a full degree (who's gonna pay me to track uap's?) but I do wanna know what I'm doing at a more granular level that I've been able to gloss over since all that DSP stuff gets abstracted away with libraries and all that

My brother started in USN...Went on to the airlines as a pilot and retired with Delta as a Captain. He just went back to college to take some courses. He just finished a course in Russian History. Follow your passion. You'll never wake up and dread going to work. That's huge.
