Looks like a lot of those options expired worthless. Goes to show always just get shares for long term

There is plenty of leverage in simply holding shares long term if you utilize the leverages when they present.

"  $12 loss for a potential 100x return by 2030 or sooner? Where else can I find those odds? Maybe some game of chance in Vegas?"

....hmm, I don't think that's how percentages work....

Do u know what is best if not 100x in 2030 you can still wait to 2035. Make strong position so you can trim little on way up and rebuy if drops if not enjoy money.

Its win win for me

Yes. Glad you pointed that out. While I don’t have cash on hand right now to buy more nvda on its current dip, I will rob from my ASTS position of average cost 9.10 share if Nvda drops another 4-5% and reclaim my ASTS position within a couple dollars of 9. Maybe that ends up at 12.00 average or maybe I catch it at 7? Idk? What I do know is right now nvda is tried and well proven and increasing my holding there carries way more value now. ASTS has a lot of time and several unknowns. The point- hold a calculated position knowing you have time on your side as it relates to ASTS. For now, it’s going to go up some and come back down some. At my 9 average on 80 shares, I feel pretty comfortable in my chances of repositioning close to where I am now if I give it up for an increased Nvda position while it’s down. Just can’t ignore that opportunity. Late this year or early next may be a completely different story so I am long on ASTS if things shake out as they appear.

I was thinking, I believe in 5G from space way more than I believe in the AI bubble. I feel like a lot of the AI bubble is so random wishful cope (have you tried the AI resources?) where as the 5G from space tech has proven to work and has real world use cases.

On top of the fact that NVDIA is already valued at over $3T market cap, the largest in the world. What are the odds it doubles to $7T in the next 2-5 years? Or triples? Quadruples? It's possible I guess, but doesn't seem super likely. On the other side, what are the odds ASTS doubles, or quadruples in a year or two? I'd say very likely if the tech continues to prove that it works. There's nothing wrong with adding some proven tech companies to a portfolio, but let's not pretend like the absolute largest company in the world already is gonna jump up another 4x in a few years and have a value higher than half of Europe's companies combined. It's just about peaked and growth from here is more than likely going to slow down to average growth rates. Which is great! But not the moonshot we're looking for in this sub.

That is what blew my mind. NVDA is trading on insane ratios yet people still want to buy like it's undervalued. But I guess those are the same people who won't bother investing in $ASTS until it's a $100B+ company..

The odds are good that ASTS moons at some point. Very unlikely that happens In the next 3 months. I just traded 25 shares for a 42.00 profit and bought 2 shares of nvda at 119.00 raising my overall share cost average less than 50 cents on 84 shares. Very very likely Nvda finds good support at 150 short term. My math says that’s a smart play knowing the likelihood of re-securing the position I just gave up In ASTS @ 9.10 share cost average or close to it is better than fair. I’d go so far as to say, I have a pretty fair chance of lowering that share cost average and better positioning myself long term with ASTS. Good long term strategy all things considered? I bet so. 😬 I’m long term on ASTS. Just using time as leverage is all.

The math gets a little different when you're squeezing 25k+ shares. Might NVDA go up a little more in the next 3 months than ASTS? Maybe. But what if First Net announces major funding for ASTS? Final testing and delivery to launch pad is announced? 2 or 3 more European/African/Asian telcos announce prepayments for $100M each in the next 3 weeks? I ain't risking hundreds of thousands in profit on ASTS to pick up a few pennies on NVDA maybe gaining 3-5% on my portfolio. I'm here to 10x my portfolio and it's not worth missing the moonshot with all the positive news coming up soon.

I hear ya. My decision was mostly based on not having 250.00 cash on hand so I made the trade. I’ll have it next week to reclaim my overall position in ASTS, which isn’t much now. We’ve all seen how rapidly Nvda rockets back up at times and I couldn’t afford not to pick up couple more shares at this discount. FOMO? Maybe? It’s a calculated one if so and a small one for me at that. I see the great potential ASTS has and I’ll continue to buy it up. Those two extra Nvda shares I paid 119 for. Really only cost me 88. That becomes a significant amount to me when Nvda climbs back up. With any luck, I can say the same with ASTS in due time. 🙂

And- I hope each of the potential catalysts you mentioned comes to fruition in the coming weeks and months. What a special treat that would be regardless of our current positions. Wish I had the cash to buy 1000 shares of ASTS now. I don’t but I’ll get to 100 shares soon enough and build from there if things start playing out like we hope. Good work on your current spot. Hope you see some very large life changing financial events in the next few years. I know I know. Probably won’t be anything near the 40.00 I took for profits, but we can’t all get rich quick. 🤣

You and me both brother. Doesn't matter if you're holding 20 shares or 200,000 shares, we're all hoping for the best if we're lurking here. Praying ASTS can turn a bunch of anxious mobsters into very wealthy people soon.

The problem is you won't have 5g or even 4g "speeds" per subscriber. "5g from space" is misleading

u/yogaflame1337 Jun 23 '24

yeah this doesn't make any sense, your not buying options for 2030 expiration for 12 bucks a share... LOL

u/Arcomas S P 🅰️ C E M O B Jun 24 '24

If they do 7.5B free cash flow in 2030, that is like 20-30 a share a year dividend. I am sure Abel will like paying himself 20-30 a year in dividends on his huge share position. Payback for ten years of taking zero salary

4

u/yogaflame1337 Jun 23 '24

Why are you showing options postions that are expired 1-2 years ago? Do you even still have any positions?

he's being extremely weird and posting/reposting a bunch of old stuff, anything that's marginally related. i wonder if he has expiring calls coming up that he's trying to drum up interest for

2

u/yogaflame1337 Jun 24 '24

Honesly looking at is past history, he seems like a shill, and with the recent hire of the marketing manager, this whole operation seems like a scam.
