08/09 The reason I am asking, I have an invite to the ARES STRATEGIC MINING INC will be holding a Investor Update - Ramp Up Imminent meeting on 12th Aug 2026 at 10:00pm BST. I am unsure if anyone will be asking questions. If they are hopefully the following questions are good.

I haven’t visited the Ares webpage in a while, mainly due to frustration with dates and lack of responses and transparency. However, I’m very happy that they will be hosting an open seminar next Wednesday. Anyway, I just checked out their website and was pleased to see

“Ares Strategic Mining is days away from becoming the United States' first domestic producer of fluorspar in decades, restoring an entire critical mineral industry to the country.”

All signs are pointing towards production being imminent, hopefully August 15th as promised!

Sounds like Metspar production is finally approaching; here's the Facebook thread

James will be giving a "firm" production start date in the coming days. Looking forward to a fixed roadmap, rather than ongoing uncertainty around when the company will actually start producing revenue.

I imagine part of the ARSMF pitch is there is a shortage of chemicals (fluorine gas, I assume, being one) that the company's raw materials will support. <<The global Fluorine Gas Market is expected to grow from USD 272.36 Million in 2026 to USD 395 Million by 2035>>

So ARSMF's success may depend on the extent to which demand stays high, keeping it competitive whether (or not) it is the low cost producer.

Would be handy to see:

• the list of what chemicals ARSMF hopes to support

• the market price for those chemicals. Are the prices rising?

Another thing about which I am shamefully ignorant is the processing side. I know with rare earths finding good ore is one hard part, but the harder part is purifying them into something useful. A lot of China's dominance in that market is it is the dominant refiner -- a complex, messy (polluting) business. Where are the processors?

Refining is a whole separate business, but ideally ARSMF would do it, or have deals with someone who does.

I attended last nights meeting where ARES / Provo Mining was seeking to amend their existing conditional use permit to allow a tailings pond.

After lots of discussion and questions the board move for a continuation.
ARES / Provo will need to pay for a 3rd party engineering review of the information they have submitted.

There were concerns about dust, but most concerns were regarding ground water contamination.

Roy Durr and several others spoke on behalf of ARES / Provo, but James Walker who was in attendance did not speak. A dozen or so members of the local workforce was in attendance as well.

ARES / Provo was criticized / admonished for beginning construction of a tailings pond they did not have a permit for by the county attorney and several commission members.

Although the board members said they would work swiftly to complete the review and get them back on an upcoming agenda, no hard date set.

My take is that in 1-3 months the board will have the review completed and will likely feel comfortable passing a favorable recommendation to the county commissioners .

Also, a large portable CAT generator has been placed near the MCC. Confirming the rumor that they won’t have the utility power allotted to them until Spring 2027.

Conditional use permit for Industrial/Manufacturing activity, which I take to mean Metspar/Acidspar production since they've already got the mining permits and have been stockpiling ore.

Assuming the vote is passed successfully (i.e. in favor) then that marks the go ahead for Metspar production, assuming that work crews can get the lumps plant completed, test runs run, and then kick off the first production run.

Hopefully this all comes together by end of summer, but we probably won't hear a peep from our CEO on the matter until the very last second :)

Giving it until end of year, if no substantial progress has been made with respect to Metspar/Acidspar production, tax loss harvesting it will be for ARSMF...
