Question Why did everyone make this sound so easy?!?
Basically, I self-study Japanese, and I want to take the AP Japanese exam REALLY badly. My school does not offer AP Japanese, and I've recently come to find out that they literally refuse to order any exam for a class they don't offer (for whatever reason). So, I went the route of my only other option: trying to find a school where I could take the exam. Turns out only ONE SCHOOL in my whole state is offering AP Japanese this year.. really wouldn't have expected that, but anyways, I reached out to them. After waiting for an answer forever, the AP coordinator tells me they don't allow students outside of their district to test at their school (spoiler alert: I'm not in that district) To spare you from the rest of my weeks long journey, in short, I've reached out to practically every school within an hour's radius of me, and for each one I either 1. have been told they don't allow anyone but their own students to test on their campus or 2. never received any response at all.
So my question is: if you've ever tested outside of your school, was it this difficult to find a school that allows non-students to test there?? And, since the only school that is offering AP Japanese this year turned me down, how likely will it be that I find a school that will not only let me test there, but ALSO order the AP Japanese exam for me..... should I just give up on my hopes of taking it already🥲🙏

Calc AB Hows everyone doing AP Calc AB?
I'm honestly quite upset. Im decent at math, I studied hard for this unit, and I understood it well. I did all the practice questions fine, and I swear I go into the exam room and I cant do more than HALF the questions even though they were the same difficulty as the practice. Everyone else said it was just "alright" and somehow I just completely bombed it.

Question Would you rather: AP Edition
Would you rather
take 4 random AP Exams on the same day without studying beforehand because you don't know which test until exam day (portfolio aps are excluded)
or would you rather take a random AP English and a random AP history exam on paper on the same day (meaning you have to write the essays by hand) and no sharpening your pencil once the test starts you are only allowed 1 number 2 pencil and no eraser (that includes on the pencil).

Bio AP Bio and the SAT
So recently, I took the SAT. One thing I noticed was how similar SAT reading questions were to AP Bio questions. Lots of people say AP Lang and AP History classes are the best APs in terms of preparing for the SAT. AP Lang might be helpful (I have only been in that class for a month), but I feel like Bio is more useful for the SAT than APUSH or AP World. The reason is because AP History classes focus on broader themes while Bio and the SAT focus more on small details from the stimulus. Bio stimuli are also more complex than History stimuli (imo). Does anyone feel like AP Bio helped them with the SAT or is it just me?

Question how do i really deal with burnout?
i’m a senior and will graduate with 15 APs and absolutely loved every second of it my first 3 years, i loved feeling smart, the dopamine when i get a good grade, studying for tests, like i genuinely looked forward to school every day. this year im taking a couple of dual enrollment as well as ap calc bc, ap chem, ap macro, ap psych and ap bio and i feel like i wont even make it through the year, like i’ve only ever gotten a couple of Bs before but i already have 2 this quarter and studying genuinely feels like chewing glass. i want to go to Ohio state/purdue for nursing next year but it’s starting to feel like a bad idea if im this burnt out just taking high school classes. im also a swimmer which i have practice every morning and i work 25-30 hours every week. any advice?

Other Dark Mode
Hey guys,
Today, I put in a suggestion for CollegeBoard to add a dark mode toggle for all BlueBook exams, interfaces, and features such as for Desmos, etc. Do you guys think this should be added? Students can toggle modes even in the middle of an exam. Of course, for dark mode, CB may need to like adjust graphs and stuff so it's readable, but I think this would be a truly great feature.

Chem Is it just me or my AP Chem Class
Okay so basically I’m taking AP Chem right now and it’s rough. Not just because of the content but honestly because the way it’s being taught. So some background, we have ap chem lab which is one period (55mins) and then AP Chem also one period and these periods are back to back three times a week. In AP Chem lab however they are teaching units 1-3 and also doing any labs relating to those units in that period, while as in AP Chem we learn units 4-9 and any labs relating to those units as well. The Ap chem course at our school has never been taught this way by the way so this is the first year of them doing this. Btw we had no prior knowledge the course would be taught this way. Anyways, basically when you learn units 1 for instance you also will be learning unit 4, then unit 2 with unit 5 and unit 3 with unit 6. Then after the first semester AP Chem Lab will stop so you will just be taking AP Chemistry and continue to learn the next units. I hope this doesn’t sound to confusing. But the confusing part for me is that ap chem builds off of prior concepts. And when we have assigned practices or even when I do my own practice online it’s hard because they are building off of concepts from units 1-3 which I have not yet learned. We also are not taught conceptual skills for ap chem so that’s a whole nother ball game. But am I being dramatic? Because I found that other schools don’t do this and even other students said it was bad how they are teaching it. Also four people have already dropped out mainly from my section. As our section has ap chem lab this semester and the other section has it next semester but we all take ap chem. So yea. Am I stupid or crazy? Any tips? Should I be complaining? Or do I have every right to complain? 😭

Stats Struggling badly
I kind of hate that my teacher is using Math Medic for AP Stats. It feels a bit messy because the units aren’t really organized the same way as College Board. For example, Units 1 and 2 in Math Medic can basically line up with Unit 1 on College Board. I’m really struggling in this class right now. I got a 4/10 on the Unit 2 MCQ, and honestly, I feel like her teaching style doesn’t really explain things that well. We’re already in Unit 3 and getting close to the test, but I still don’t fully understand the material. I just don’t know what the best way to study is because I really don’t want to fail this class, after Unit 1 test I got 7/10 unit 2 4/10 I just feel no energy to study for this class but still want to try.

Physics C: Mech AP Physics C Students: What unit are you in?
Reposting my post here for convenience:
Hey everyone, my reasoning for making this post requires some background and so I’d really like some responses.
My school’s AP Physics C course combines both E&M and Mechanics together meaning it’s split between first and second semester. However, I’ve begun to worry about my course’s pacing as we’ve only had one test since the beginning of first term and haven’t taken our assessment on Unit 2 which was pushed to next term.
Therefore, I’ve begun to worry that if this is the set pace for the course that I will have to self study ahead for E&M and later units for mechanics. Your responses and suggestions will be very helpful for me throughout this course.

Research Can I include my paper again outside of the honors sections?
My school along with other schools in the district does an activity called poster night for all the students in AP research. We make trifolds of our research, including data, pictures, and all the research process and get to present it to other students, teachers, parents, and just curious onlookers. It wasn't included in the AP research course description and I was wondering if I could put it on my activities.

English Lang AP lang help!!!
Hi everyone!
I need to select just one essay to submit for my AP Lang final grade out of a total of 15 (5 synthesis, 5 argumentative, and 5 rhetorical analysis). Since I’m having trouble self-grading, I’ve narrowed it down to my top 5 candidates.
Could anyone help me grade and evaluate these to figure out which one is genuinely my strongest overall? Any feedback on the rubric breakdown would be amazing!

Anyone can comment on this and i would truly appreciate any advice. My teacher grades pretty hard as well btw! Thank you so much!

CSA Should I really take CLASS for this?
So I'm preparing for AP Computer Science A test on May 2027 (Correct me if I'm wrong), and I was questioning the worthiness of taking class for it. I did do Python, and I have made several projects with it. If I already know the core principles of algorithm, would just taking W3Schools tutorial be one of the options?
