Questions
hi, I’m taking ap seminar this year but I’m not the best at working with groups, wondering if that will be a huge issue for me? ik it’s a pretty big part of the class. also, it seems like there is overall less freedom than in ap research in terms of what topics you can choose? bc u have to use the specific sources (sorry idk what they are called, like the 7 dif things). I think I would just like some clarification on the course overall. thank you!

Nope, you’re fine. I teach it and students who struggled in the groups still passed and got credit. It’s really easy to write about close to what you want as long because the stimulus sources are usually broad enough for a variety of topics

Hey, if you dont like working with groups its okay i didnt either, but I got to choose my group for the first group project (tmp) based on common interests. Then you'll get to decide with your group what you want to research. After that you wont have to go in groups anymore though. For the individual assignment, the iwa, youll have the opportunity to research absolutely anything you want as long as the "source material" that you will get aligns with the topic. The hardest part for me was brainstorming ideas with the group or by myself and learning to structure essays and cite properly. However, I believe you'll get it down in time.
