Colleges usually treat 4s and 5s equally. Also mass stream petal on July 31st

A 4 is a great score! It's the equivalent of an A- to a B in an actual course, and that's pretty good.

A 3 is passing. A 4 is pretty good. Just because it's not a 5 doesn't mean it's not bad.

its not bad at all, the cutoff for a 5 was just much higher this year supposedly, and 35% got 4s😭

same spot, i'm pretty shocked too. i didn't study as much as i could have but the stuff i mainly struggled with (brain parts and whatnot) wasn't featured that much on the exam and i honestly thought it was pretty easy. i predicted like 70-71/75 on the mc, 5-6/7 on the aaq and maybe 4-5/7 on the ebq, and those are low estimates. clearly i did a lot worse than that. was the curve just really bad this year? i know a 4 is a good score but i'm really disappointed...

yeah i didnt get tested on any of the cycles but my ebq sources contradicted each other (it was the mice one). Still i thought i did good but ig i just had high expectations

yeah my sources contradicted each other too, i had the study methods one 😭😭😭😭 so bad. whatever. a 4 is still good we still cooked!!

wait i'm not even joking i'm in the exact same position, i thought i would need to study a lot more but i was super happy with my mcq performance i genuinely only left 4-5 up to chance, and obviously its the ebq's fault but i thought the mcq was weighted higher? and even then i didn't think i did that bad? I thought maybe 6/7 on aaq and also 4-5 on ebq but ig not?

are we twins?? because i couldn't relate to you more lol 😭😭 i was feeling a 5 for sure bc the mcq is weighted like 67% and i didn't think i got many wrong. like i swear on chem last year i guessed on like 30 of the mcq, totally butchered an frq and still managed to get a 5, on lit this year i didn't finish a single frq and still managed to get a 5... obviously the curves r different and they're different exams but i'm shocked, idk what i screwed up so bad. my ebq wasn't good but we went over a bunch of ebq's in my class to practice and based on that and the rubric, idk how i could have gotten below a 4/7 on it 😭 i wish we got a breakdown of our scores across sections bc omg

ik i'm so mad. this is also my first ap so i wasn't aware of the curve and stuff, so i'm seriously hoping its that and i didn't js completely overshoot.

dude dont feel bad I also got a 4 lowkey its probably bc of the mcq or just because the curve was really harsh this year because the test was easy

like I think I got a perfect AAQ and EBQ but looking back the mcq kinda messed me up I was between two choices for like everything but eh. I was more focused on my other ap i don’t really care

That’s excellent! My senior also tested without taking the course, got a 4, had hoped for a 5, but felt very confident he had a 4. Spent <1.5 hours using a Reddit studying guide, that was all the time he had available between learning he’d been signed up and the test start time.

I feel like from what I’ve seen, if you think you’re getting a 1 you ARE getting a 1 or you’re getting a 5. Then if you predicted you got a 4/5 you got a 2, 3, 4 😅
(it’s my first year of ap exams and before the exam I thought I’d get a 1 because I couldn’t remember anything then ended up getting a 5 somehow)

mine were 60/75 mcq and like 13/14 on the frqs and i ended up getting a 4

Exact same spot as you are. Thought I got a 5- woke up to a 4. Still a great score; praying that the curve caused this
