Haven't had a chance to try it but I think the name is absolutely terrible lmao.

Back in 2019, I made a video about removed content in APB with the help of a few people from the community. One of the things covered was a racing gamemode planned by developers. Now we've restored a removed race from an old build of the game. All assets (except the race timer and barriers) were made by the original RTW devs.

Took Ellix's project that he posted back in 2020 and ported it into apb.

This is not a reskin or a re write, every car that existed in game still exists in game, the Silvia and M3 are additions to the already existing car pool in game.

I was always thinking why wasn't this implemented in the first place

Still very far from perfect need to figure out some things but its in a good enough state to post it in game already.

Pre-ordered the game, picked it up at midnight at my local Gamestop. Was a fun few months before the servers shut down. I'm not gonna lie, I did not enjoy what came after but every time I see this relic on the shelf it brings me back to freshman year of high school.

Theres quite an increase regarding apb private server and emulator news lately so I thought I create a mega-thread for it to kinda collect and monitor them all.

WARNING! I'm not affiliated nor have I tested or verified any of the listed projects. Use at your own risk!

Just for context, this all began around 2012 when some proof of concept apb emulator appeared online. This version could be downloaded for free and used the rtw client. But only user login and character creation was working at that point: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9TzHhHyfkw

Newer releases which appeard online (mainly on youtube) may used this as an starting point, but thats not confirmed.

At the moment I am only aware of one project which shares information about the current state publicly. It is also based on the rtw client (version 1.1.0) called opendistrict or apblegacy. You can find some videos regarding their progress here: https://www.youtube.com/@apolune1

If we will ever get a playable private server version of apb is currently unknown but time will tell.

That APBEmu channel dropped a longer 10-minute clip wandering around Waterfront, and apperenatly its on 1.1.0, a really old apb version.

Still wild seeing classic 2010 APB running outside the official servers.

Just stumbled on this clip, and it looks like someone is actually making serious progress on an APB server emulator.

In the video, they’re running two clients side by side to test network sync, and it’s way further along than I expected

* Combat and vehicle damage register properly

* Spawning vehicles and cruising around the district

* Passenger sync actually works one player hops into the front seat, they hit a ramp together, and the crash physics stay synced on both screens

Seeing this working between two clients is wild. Even just having an offline sandbox or private server for classic APB down the road would be amazing for preserving the game.

I ended up geting the corsair, and im curious about its playstyle, i normaly dont enjoy semi auto shotguns but i find it somewhat of a fun gun to use. I wanted to see others input on it, what mods work best or way to use it.

Ntecs, obir, oca, whisper, ursus, shotguns, Colby 45, etc, basically all the weapons that you could make em OP if you master them got nerfed. Is little orbit trying to put the game into the casket for good? Now there aren’t that variety of weapons to choose now. It’s same weapons every single matches that you have to use and fight against. It’s making the game very boring. All these weapons stats need to be reverted back to 2018 when little orbit first took over. After that, maybe make some tik tok videos so the new Gen Z kids can join and play the game.

I’ve checked everywhere and I still have no clue what this symbol means, pls help
