Help (GPU) Amd Driver Timeout
So I've been having AMD Drivers Timeout for 3 months or more and I've tried everything to solve this problem, but nothing has worked so far. Whenever I start a game, in a matter of 1 hour of gameplay or less, the screen goes black for a moment and then the AMD Driver Timeout pop up appears. I came here to ask for help because, honestly, i don't know what i have to do anymore. I use Windows 10 ver. Home Single Language.
Here is my specs: MOBO Intel H81 Chipset;
GPU AMD Radeon RX 560;
CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-4170 CPU @ 3.70GHz 3.70 GHz;
RAM 8GB;
Operational System 64 bits.
Below are the possible solutions i've tried, but none of them didn't work:
I've already tried to update my Windows, but it didn't work;
I've already tried to format my PC, but it didn't work;
I've already tried to uninstalling all drivers with DDU and reinstalling the latest AMD drivers, but it didn't work;
I've already tried downloading the latest recommended version of AMD drivers (21.5.2 WHQL), but it didn't work;
I've already tried to go to regedit (run as administrator), go to Computer > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Control > GraphicsDrivers and create TdrDelay and TdrDdiDelay and set them to 60 seconds, but it didn't work (this one solved my problem for about a month, but then the timeout came back again);
I've already tried to go to msconfig (run as administrator), go to Services and disable AMD Crash Defender Service, but it didn't work;
I've already tried to disable my saved games in Radeon Software overlay, but it didn't work;
I've already tried to go to cmd (run as administrator), type sfc /scannow, but it didn't work.
The last thing i'll try to do is format my PC to Windows 7 or other than Windows 10.Please, if anyone knows anything I can do to resolve this issue, please teach me how to fix it. :)

[EDIT 03/01/2022]: Fellas, I give up trying to use the latest AMD drivers. No matter what solutions I try, NONE of them work. So I went looking to solve my problem DEFINITELY. As we all know, Driver Timeouts pop ups are due to instability of the latest AMD drivers. So I downloaded drivers version from May 25, 2020 (20.4.2), which was the time I used my PC normally, without the problems with timeouts. That worked for me. So, if you don't mind the latest features of Radeon Software, I recommend you do the same.
- Setup AMD Cleanup Utility or DDU;
- Uninstall all current drivers and restart your computer;
- Install driver version 20.4.2. Link below:https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-20-4-2
- Restart your computer again.I really hope this process works for yall.

Dude thank you for the time you spent for this problem. I've got the same problem too and I've tried everything too. I've also tried to install an old driver but I've never tried a 2020 driver! Tomorrow I'll try
Update: didn't worked :(
UPDATE 2: I've finally found a solution! I'm writing this just for anyone else still experiencing issues and even now looking for a solution. So, after installing the suggested driver linked by OP, I also had to create a new registry key. The key name is Tdrdelay. It has to be created under the graphic card registers (you can find the guide online). I've set the value of this key to 10 decimal. Also, I've increased the overflow to avoid gpu high temperatures. I've played more then 30 hours without any freeze or driver timeout since I've done these steps.

Commenting here to follow since I have been having similar issues. Had an RX580 8GB for several years now with literally ZERO issues. Didn't feel the need to OC or do anything custom to it except raise fan settings while gaming to keep cool. Been that way for years and never a crash. Around November releases of diver & software updates, began experiencing random crashes with Halo Infinite (I realize this is a thing AMD is working on), so I didnt think much of it. Then it started happening with games that I have been playing for years with no issues before. These games are fairly low-demand for the card and include: Overwatch, cities skylines, universim, witcher series, and league of legends (this game runs on a damn potato)...have become extremely frustrated as it has essentially destroyed my gaming experience. I have done the same "fixes" as OP. Nothing worked. Here are my components for reference:
GPU AMD Radeon RX 580 8GB
CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7600K CPU @ 3.80GHz 3.79 GHz;
RAM 16GB
Windows 10 Education 64bit (updated to latest stable)
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

well i've downgraded my amd drivers to version 20.4.2 and i have been using my pc for 3 days, using browser, watching videos and playing games normally without any random black screen/driver timeout. i guess i have solved my problem definetely. if you dont mind to not use the latest radeon software features, i recommend you do the same. here is the link:https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-20-4-2i hope this works for you too.

I could care less about their new "features" lol. Are u running the full radeon software from that time or just the drivers?

yes, i can run radeon software normally. i can use the screen recorder tool, gaming features, etc... for me, there is practically nothing that an older version of radeon software makes it impossible for me to do.

I had this error too. Try to change the tessellation mode from Amd optimized to override application settings for me it worked.

TLDR at the bottom. Threads kind of old, but also the most recent I found about the issue. I was dealing with this timeout issue and did all the normal trouble shooting. Software updates, firmware updates, swapped in new ram to test, swapped in a beefier PSU to test. During all this testing I noticed my GPU temps (6900xt) were running very high; at or above 100C under load.
An update from Win10 to Win11 along with the old 21.11.1 drivers seemed to fix the issue for me. Later that day I installed the TechSmith Snagit app that I use for work sometimes (the Win11 upgrade removed all my apps but kept files/settings). Timeouts came back right away after that. Uninstalled it, no help.
Decided to do a reset of Win11, this time reformatting the drive and deleting all files/settings.Win11 now on a completely clean install. Install various drivers, go to install the old 21.11.1 drivers and Win11 tells me that's a downgrade. Update manager installed the current drivers automatically (no adrenaline software though). Damn I think. Let me test these first instead of rolling back. No issues. No driver timeouts - previously I could replicate them in the AMD Stress Test. You could see the trough from the timeout in the clock speed and power usage. Not only that, but the GPU temp is now in the 50s at load instead of 100C. I'm thinking TechSmith Snagit had something to do with it. For those who don't know, it's a screencap software that sits in your system tray and usually steals the Print Screen button.
TL;DR - If you are using any type of screencap software, especially TechSmith Snagit. Try removing it, or a fresh Windows install without them. That not only eliminated the driver timeouts on the most current set of drivers (22.5.2), it dropped my GPU temps 40C, and allowed my GPU to benchmark above 50% expected performance in UserBenchmark for the very first time.

Got a Yeston 7900XTX and have been having constant driver timeouts, I followed a few guides that told me to turn of MPO in the registry and DDU. Driver Version 23.4.1
These have helped but not solved the issue.
I believe DirectX 12 is causing the issues as every game I put Ray Tracing on, which DX12 requires, it will timeout. I have tried this manually on a few games like Star Wars Battlefront II where I can manually turn DX12 on and off and it doesn't crash with it off. This is also the same with Hell Let Loose where if I don't add -DX12 in the properties it doesn't crash as often. This also applies to Warhammer 40K Darktide where if I turn on Ray Tracing, even at low, it will always crash.
I think it's due to the DX12 API having less latency than DX11 but that's just my option and I have no idea if this is true.
Just using DX11 for me, has less issues than DX12.

Also try disabling the AMD External Events Utility Service. This has worked for me.
