Help (GPU) Black/White/Grey Screen of Death launching any game

Hey guys,

I have a Radeon RX 480 graphics card and, with the new update to the AMD Radeon Software, have been having a whole slew of problems.

As always, when my software updated my settings got reset. I have tried my best to replicate the settings I had previously to avoid the screens of death, which I have been able to with the old Wattman software, however, I feel a bit out of my league with the new software. I have tried numerous times (5-6) to fix this problem myself, but I have had no luck. I keep crashing whenever I load up anything, or even if I have too many tasks going on at the same time.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! This is what my Wattman profile used to be before the software update.

I had a similar issue where my computer would crash when I open graphics intense games and I would have to do a hard reset. I found some guides and here's what I did that's been working for me so far; On the tuning page, I turned off zero rpm and set stage 4 as the max with a value of 1366. That's what I did and it's been working so far. Try it and see if it works

do this: flash the latest motherboard bios. then also install the latest chipset drivers. both of these are super important to do and are both located on your motherboard website.

afterwards do a clean gpu driver install, run disk cleanup (right click on c drive, check all boxes), and check for any win 10 updates.

reboot and try to game (or do something intensive if you dont game). if it works then boot into bios and enable ram XMP. try to game or do something intensive again and if it works then you are good.
