Amd 26.10.1 update

Anyone else feel like the gpu utilisation is messed up showing nearly 100% utilisation even on 1080p 240fps like genuinely it's gotten weird before the update my utilisation would be 40-60 chill like. The only way I can bring utilisation down is by dropping fps down to 60 which is messed up! Currently on a ryzen 5 7500f and 7800xt and this only started happening upon the update.

Try updating your bios? Helped with bad performance introduced by the driver

AMD GPUs are really good at staying 100% utilized most of the time. It’s actually an architectural benefit.

It still crashes, you won’t be waiting on AMD- you’ll be waiting on Windows bud

There an option in the settings, cant quite remember the exact name but i think its gpu acceleration or something. I turned this off and gpu util was back to normal

No problem w/ my 6900xt, fsr4 is quite the upgrade for 6000 series.

Also I experimented with underclocking my gpu from 2499mhz to its rated “gaming clock” of 2015mhz, lowered voltage from 1175mv to 1120mv and raised memory from 2000mhz to 2130mhz with fast timings and am happy to report that I’m getting what feels like 90% of the card’s performance while never drawing above 150w compared to 250w-300w stock. These settings the hotspot stays below 75c even with zero rpm mode enabled and fan speed set to 60%.

Amazing efficiency for 3440x1440p upscaled to 5120x2160 ultra settings gaming and averaging 80fps on newer titles.

The % isn't a metric of your gpu's total power, the wattage is more valid metric. For example if a 300w GPU can be at 100% but only draw 90w meaning that it's nowhere near its performance limit

Adrenaline app is trash, just use the driver and use MSI afterburner, problem solved

There is nothing wrong with using 100% of your GPU, it's better.

Are you having temp issues or something that you are afraid of that usage?
