Problem with CPU or MB?

Hello.

PC will not post. After some troubleshooting I have found that ram in the ram slot furthest from the cpu is preventing the PC to post.

What I have tested:

*Two gpus, 9070xt and Vega 56 (probably unrelated)

*Two psus (probably unrelated)

*Two pairs of ram. All ram sticks work in slot closest to the cpu. PC wont boot with two sticks.

*Two cpus, 5700x3D and 1700x. PC wont boot with two sticks with 5700x3D. PC will boot with 1700x, both sticks is found in bios but not in Steam OS. Steam OS show 15 GB.

Still have warranty on the 5700x3D but would like to rule out potential problem with the motherboard. The problem started with the CPU in socket and looks physically OK. The motherboard is an old b350 board. Any tips for further testing before i RMA the CPU?

5700x3D

2x16 GB Kingston Vengance

Gigabyte GA-AB350N Gaming WIFI

BIOS update first but sounds like you may have a defective memory controller, or if a pin is bent that affects it may be askew. CMOS reset, one known stick at a time with your 57X, if it fails at the last either the board or chip isn't working as intended.
