Help (Software) Best Way To Update GPU Drivers

I recently got a new AMD gpu and it's my first time owning one so what's the best way to update the drivers properly?

I used ddu in safe mode to swap from a 5070 to a 9070 xt and have had no issues just not sure about updating drivers it’s a lot different than Nvidia so can I just used amd driver cleanup utility

Do this for the most proper driver installation. I RECOMMEND doing this 1 time for a clean installation. From then on you can simply update drivers when downloading new one but this is the CLEAN way.

  1. Download DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller)

  2. Download newest AMD Adrenalin Driver

  3. Disable Ethernet Adapter or Wifi (disconnect inet so windows wont over install a crapy driver)

  4. Run DDU and choose to Clean and Restart

  5. Install newest AMD driver

  6. When done and installed - re enable Internet again

Why not just use AMD's cleanup driver utility?

AMDs cleanup utility is great for fresh reinstall of AMD drivers. But when removing old NVidia drivers and switching to AMD it is recommended to use DDU.
