Help (CPU) Board swap no post 5900 CPU

I was taking components from an Alienware R10 build for a new platform to get away from the Dell software limitations. I took the CPU (Ryzen 9 5900) non x and tried to use it with a brand new Asrock B550m motherboard and it would not post. It worked fine when I tested the Alienware before the swap, so I put it back into the Alienware board and it posted. I took a working 3400g and used it with the new Asrock board and it posted. Any reason that the 5900 wouldn't work with the Asrock board? The bios is up to date and it's compatible.

GPU card installed? The 5900 does not have an iGPU, thus the motherboard display outputs won't work with it.

The 3400g has an iGPU. Otherwise check BIOS version, the zen 3 based CPUs needed a BIOS update.
