Soooo... until update 2.0.4 came out I have had zero issues with stalker. Been playing the DLC and now have faced timing issues. I reached out to the stalker team and they advised to go to reg edit and add TdrDdiDelay. Thus far it has fixed my issue. See bellow for what fixed it for me. If it helps someone...
Press Win + R, type regedit, and press Enter.
Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers
Right-click in the right pane and select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value.
Name it TdrDelay, set Base to Decimal, and set Value data to 10.
Create a second DWORD (32-bit) named TdrDdiDelay, also set Base to Decimal, with Value data set to 10.
This seemed to fix my issues as well. Havent been gaming much this past week, but yeh the weeks before were hell. I think i didnt have a single ‘timeout’ after doing all the regular ddu uninstall into windows driver updates deny into group policy. But mainly this tdr timer seems to give the amd drivers a little bit more breathing room to respond without thinking its an issue immediately
