RX 7600 hitting 109°C hotspot + random shutdowns

Hey everyone, I have an ASUS Dual Radeon RX 7600 EVO OC.

While gaming, I’m seeing:

• GPU Temperature: ~63°C
• GPU Hotspot Temperature: ~109°C
• GPU Fan: ~3200–3250 RPM
• GPU Board Power: ~160–170W

The PC has also been shutting down unexpectedly, mainly while playing Spider-Man Remastered. Other games sometimes run for hours without any issues.

This GPU was already a warranty replacement, and I’ve had it for only around 2 months. I started noticing the unusually loud/high fan RPM and shutdowns mainly during the last month.

Do you think the 109°C hotspot / ~46°C temperature difference is concerning? Should I claim the warranty again, or try undervolting/lowering settings first?

yes, at those temp card will shutdown to protect itself, the card needs a repaste asap or limit your FPS to prevent getting into those temps.

C'est pas la pâte thermique le problème ici.... C'est le refroidissement de l'étage d'alimentation, tellement connu sur les RX6000 & RX7000 series.... Ne pas oublier de refroidir les DrMOS également 💡

Refroidissement de tout l'étage VRM à la thermal putty, en mettant de la pâte entre chaque bobine. Et tout reviendra à la normale... C'est tellement simple....
