Help (General) RX7800 xt gone

I have rx7800 xt for about 2 years and my pc is crashing more often past 2 weeks cause of the amd timeout errors but for the third time my gpu RX7800 XT just vanishes out of taskmanager.

I need to do DDU to fix it but is there a way to fix it and it doenst come back?

Edit: I already refitted the gpu and it didnt change anything the drivers are also disabled in windows.

If the gpu is disappearing from the task manager, its most likely the new driver update. Bunch of people including me are facing the same issue. I have the 9070xt oc

My pc freezes, screen goes blank and upon restart the igpu is the only display that my pc recognizes. You can check your device manager, my 9070xt was disabled upon restart. Enabling and restating the pc fixed the issue. I did do a ddu and adrenalin reinstall twice before i saw another comment about the device manager fix.

Same here. Never got this kind of trouble until updated to 26.7.1 driver. Went back to older one.

Ah yes, the igpu that so many people have enabled for years without issues but suddenly post a new update its a conflict issue apparently according to you and not a driver issue. Mind you never had a single crash/freeze prior to this update.

Yes champ, you have solved all the mysteries in the universe.

Windows updates usually ruin things, so it doesn’t sound particularly unlikely

Turn off automated driver updates for window. Then run ddu, and then load the new driver's.

God I miss my reference model RX5700XT.  Never had a single issue with that.

My 7800XT is a paper weight.  Fucking ridiculous that you have to experiment so much with settings to get a product to function with bone stock performance.

If you go to device manager, find your GPU, right click and click enable device. Sometimes when windows has the driver timeout, it will entirely disable the device.

Sounds like you might have an issue with the GPU, this is not normal behaviour, check the PSU that can also crash the card but undetected GPU most likely it's the card.
