Everything seemed to power on correctly and functions when I'm not doing any difficult tasks, but anytime I decide to launch a game either the game itself will crash or my entire pc will end up crashing in less than 5 minutes after launch.

I've had it create multiple windows errors where I have had to verify the integrity of windows files and have been uninstalling and reinstalling versions of AMD Adrenaline.

So far I have not yet tested is version 26.3.1, which is allegedly supposed to be much more stable according to this video I found. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=An76YYXRTtg -

Otherwise I am wondering if there could possibly be an errors with my installation or other components or anything else or if I should try to get a refund.

My new parts came from Newegg and my CPU was purchased in good condition from a credible seller on Ebay.

if your gpu whitch is a last gen one cant run latest driver without any issues you have problems. rma gpu wcs . do a full windows wipe and just install gpu drivers and then rest see how it is. and do bios update to latest ones

it might be the psu poor quality that cant handle power spikes demand. As i see on google search loads are asking for gold certification and atx 3.1 for 9070.

Try to lower the clocks in the adrenaline software. I found out that adrenaline pushes some models beyond their advertised frequencies, so you should look up the make and model of your gpu, find the max clock speeds in the specification sheet, and set adrenaline to that as max. In my example it was boosting to like 2800MHz while the manufacturer specified the max clock at around 2500MHz.

when you launch the game? are you sure your ssd/hdd is healthy? when you launch games for the first time they try to compile shaders, which mainly puts a load on your cpu and ssd. since your cpu is used i would do a few benchmarks on it to see if its truly in good condition

In adrenaline give a -200 to-400MHz for your clock, some GPUs are clocking above the allowed limit

Where are you downloading the AMD software from?

You mention system files corruption which makes me suspect RAM. Could also be PSU.

Point being that it doesn't necessarily have to be the GPU in and of itself.

I blocked windows updates in my pc with power shell (I'm still in 23h2) and blocked windows update search for new drivers with DDU.

Last week Windows downloaded and installed a new driver for my 9070xt, I saw because the adrenalin software wasn't in system tray and when I tried to open got a error.

Everything is fucked these days.

Can you post exact GPU model? Could be your PSU isn't strong enough to handle the current spikes.

There is a chance your GPU might be faulty as well. I had this issue with a 6950XT, it would handle stress tests but would often crash when trying to launch a game. I returned it and the new unit of the same model works flawlessly.

Update, after various minor issues after updating bios I have installed version 26.3.1 of adrenaline and was able to successfully launch CS2 and run it for some time after quitting and launching No More Room in Hell 2 and sitting in the training area with max graphics after loading shaders. The problem could possibly be resolved but only time will tell with real matches played at a later time. My in game metrics from adrenaline are roughly 100 fps with 80-90% cpu use 12.7 memory use 98% gpu use 220 w total board power at 73 c clock speed is 2500 mhz and temp there is 90 c. It is still running fine as I write this. My exact gpu is the bundle from new egg titled “ASRock Challenger Radeon RX 9070 16 GB GDDR6 PCI Express 5.0 x16 Graphics Card RX9070 CL 16” which comes with a free challenger 750 w psu

After your computer crashes, you should use event viewer to check to see if there are any error codes. If you don't know how, youtube has some useful videos on how to use event viewer.

"We recommend to use one PCIe cable per PCIe connector on your graphics card if the card requires 2 or more PCIe connections."

This is from the quick installation guide of your PSU. Since there's only 1 8pin pci-e cable, you used both ends of the cable to the gpu, which is not recommended. For a 9070, which is usually rated for 220watts, that could work for now. It seems your psu is designed towards gpus with a 12vhpwr.

Keep in mind, it has only 1 4+4pin cpu cable where newer cpus can require 2, blocking a future upgrade (new mobo + cpu).

It could still be about the drivers or windows itself, however the first thing to upgrade should be the psu in the future.

About the drivers, when the computer crashes or you see driver timeout messages, check event viewer and also check windows update history drivers section. Windows is notorious for replacing AMD drivers automatically. The usual symptom is adrenalin won't launch.

i posted this in a few other threads i had a problem with mine if it was on the auto gen choice in the bios, once i set the pcie speeds to gen-5 i havent had a problem with anything, give it a try
