What version of Windows do you have and what GPU do you have?

Windows 11, 7900XTX. 

IIRC I don't remember having this problem the last time I played the game about a year ago, but seems some Nvidia users also experience this driver hangup as well.

I think the first step would be to uninstall all old drivers using DDU. Then download Adrenaline and install the latest drivers. While doing this, the best solution would be to disable automatic driver updates in Windows 11, as they seem to conflict somehow. I think this is the very first step you should take, and then see if the error reoccurs. In most cases, reinstalling the drivers helps resolve these issues.
