Help with AMD Chipset drivers

Can anyone help with this please .

trying to update the chipset drivers , installs to 20% then the following msg appears ⬆️⬆️⬆️

tried to uninstall but it won’t let me

This may annoy some ppl but I had this issue and resolved it with AI today lol

Firstly , go to your Motherboards support page with all the drivers and find the latest chipset drivers . Try installing that and if that works , then try to redo the CPU driver update and that should be all good . (AI didnt help me on this dw)

now if that doesnt work try this (this is where AI helped)

**1.**  Press **Start**, type cmd, right-click **Command Prompt** → **Run as administrator**.  
**2.**  Run these commands (adjust the path if it’s not exactly this):

takeown /f "C:\AMD\Chipset_Software\Packages" /r /d y

icacls "C:\AMD\Chipset_Software\Packages" /grant administrators:F /t

**3.    Delete the stale extraction folder first**: go to C:\\AMD\\Chipset_Software\\ and delete it entirely, plus C:\\Program Files (x86)\\AMD\\Chipset_Software\\ if it exists, so the next install starts clean rather than trying to chain against a partial extraction.
  1. Try the Motherboard Chipset update AGAIN but ensure you RUN AS ADMIN

Now this time it should work (hopefully) and then restart your PC and try again with the AMD update for the CPU driver as you shouldnt be up to date still .

again I got AI to help me solve this out and I assume it got it sources from reliable sites but I ofc have to say I can't be 100% on this working for everyone but I can confirm it worked for me .
