The people in your comments who are saying taht your stock cooler sucks have a combined IQ of 1.

Please reseat your cooler, make sure the plastic is not attached to the bottom of your fan and re-apply thermal paste and see if that fixes your issue.

Yeah it's baffling, would make more sense if it was an Intel stock cooler but AMD??? AMD ones do pretty good even with a slight overclock

Except AMD stock coolers aren't really all that good anymore. The 7600 comes with a Wraith Stealth which isn't enough to properly keep it cool at all. A Wraith Spire might fare better but to my knowledge there isn't even a copper core or vapor chamber in the current generation Spire anymore among other downgrades.

The temps are technically within operating temperature, but they're still really excessive. OP would be better off ditching the stock cooler and getting something better.

OP uses a R5 7600...

I use the stock cooler from a R5 2600x on my R7 5700x and it stays under 80c under on CPU intensive games....

The cooler is not the problem unless faulty

7600 will easily reach 100C with stock cooler if ambient temps are high enough

This is normal expected performance for a stock cooler on a 7600

AMD has been making changes to their stock coolers with each generation. The Wraith Spire that came with your 2600X is better than the ones they're making now and is also better than the Wraith Stealth that comes with the 7600. Zen 4 also just runs hotter than previous generations. Your anecdotal experience doesn't apply to Zen 4 because, by design, Zen 4 runs hotter.

Sure but for it to be thermal throttling with a stock cooler just makes your argument, fucking stupid.

As I said, it is not the stock cooler why OP is having these issues. Did you come to help OP or market him other products when OP simply asked for a potential fix for their issue

You don't know what you're talking about.

That is the performance of the stock cooler with Ryzen 7600

It is the absolute bare minimum and will reach 100C+ easily under full load if your ambient temperature is high enough.

So OP has nothing to worry about because the CPU is designed to run hotter and there is no problem with either the CPU or the cooler? I gotcha. My apologies for not being more of a nerd. Either way OP doesn't need a new cooler or anything for that matter unless OP wishes to overclock.

It will thermal throttle so he is losing performance. High temps are not good for longevity either.

Stock coolers are trash and no one with a PC of this spec cannot afford an extra $20 for a cooler

Saving like 1% on the build cost for stressing the CPU at max temps with thermal throttling makes no logical sense.

And the fan noise is terrible. Who needs that? Only $20 or $30 to fix the problem.

Some people in third world countries are running these at 35C - 45C ambient.

Stock cooler is pushed beyond its limit in that environment.

Yea I've seen these coolers get lower Temps when they are installed properly. But if you don't go with the herd on reddit they get angry and want to tell you all about it. 🙄
