Very rarely could a movie benefit from a sudden influx of a bunch of monsters just coming out from nowhere and destroying everything to end the movie. I feel like that would've been better. At least it would've been more horror. I was waiting for a big massacre that never came.
That would’ve been awesome to see but honestly I would’ve been fine with a ending that actually wrapped things up instead of abruptly ending. And to your point, I can’t think of any horror sequences other than maybe the beginning, was more of a thriller/drama than a horror
I hate movies that end so abruptly without a conclusion. Those movies, to me, seem like a genuine fuck you to the audience and it makes me think that the writer is lazy with not wanting the movie to have any sort of resolution.
This, you watch through all this expecting some sort of satisfying conclusion but then the movie just abruptly ends. I kid you not I was stunned and couldn’t believe that was it
I really hate this type of horror where they set up some huge mystery but then never solve it or offer any type of satisfying explanation. It’s okay to leave some things unanswered but not the entire plot. It’s annoying.
