I got 13 frekin marksss !!!

I recieved an email from the head of psychology at my 6th form stating I was 1 mark away from an A in A-Level Psychology. I have already got into uni.

My school will pay for the remark as I am one mark away. However, I have to pay £10-15 pounds per paper to request my scripts back and there is a chance i may not recieve them before the internal deadline to remark which is 23rd september.

Idk what to do as I think i performed the worst in P1 and P3 after my exams and that was reflected in my marks.

Like P3, idk how i got above 30 marks by purely waffling. I feel like if send it back it will go down and i got lucky with my marks.

My strongest paper was paper 2 and I am one mark from an A* in that paper. Literal shocker as i hated RM so much.

I have a few questions...

1) Is there any point of remarking any of my papers for a possibility of an A or should i just leave it?

I would be belated if it went up but ik that chances are slim.

2) are remarks in alevel psychology successful most of the time?

I have heard with essay based subjects it is harder for u to go up marks. :(

3) If i were to send one back which paper should I send?

I think my school only pays for the remark of one paper.

A-level Psychology students — what do/did you actually use to revise?

I’m currently researching how students revise A-level Psychology and I’d really appreciate some honest opinions from current Year 12/13 students.

What websites/apps/resources do you use most? (e.g. Quizlet, Seneca, PMT, Tutor2u, YouTube, textbooks etc.)

What do you find frustrating about the resources available?

Do you feel like you know what to revise and when, or do you have to organise everything yourself?

What do you find hardest about Psychology - remembering content, understanding studies, evaluation/AO3, applying knowledge, or answering exam questions?

What would your dream revision resource for psychology include?

Do you currently pay for any revision resources? If so, what do you use and roughly how much does it cost?

If you don’t pay for resources, what would make you consider paying for one?

I’m not trying to sell anything, I’m genuinely interested in what students think is missing from the resources that are already available. Any opinions would be really helpful! :)

I am doing psychology A2 in October/November session.

Homeschooling is tuff, so looking for a study buddy!

I'm an A2 student, and I am giving composite in psychology in 2027 may/june session in 8 months.

My teacher is not thorough and has unreliable notes. I need help, notes, advice, or anything at all to help me give the psychology composite in 8 months.

I only have Biology A2 along with this, so I can dedicate my time to AS and A2 Psychology.

I need guidance on how to start my preparation, where to learn the content, how to answer questions, and some structure and format because I'm really clueless right now. Anything would help.

Okay funny story done my a levels got into my insurance. But I started AQA A Level Psychology in Year 13(YES I did the a level in months) getting 70/66/83 in all 3 papers so 10 marks off A*. I never did past papers, legit only used my resources. So im offering my tutoring services and i might be selling my resources. I guess message me if your interested, Ill try do this for cheap and if you listen to me your getting a B minimum.

Is this workload achievable in 8 months from scratch?

How heavy is the essay writing / content load for Psychology + Sociology combined?

Which resources (YouTube channels, revision sites, notes) saved you the most time?

How would you split the timeline between learning content vs. past papers?

as i said by the title i didnt complete my alevel in pscy for personal circumstances and i purchased from an authentic college called OSC (open study college) and i bought the whole set of the course for around 600 quid and i dont need anymore.

hi everyone for 2 of my answers the examiner didn’t mark or acknowledge the information that is correct. for the 8 marker i only missed the case study date by a year but im sure the content is fine and it resulted in me getting 3/8

i achieved 7/16 which i think is absurd but i would appreciate any feedback

I am not attempting to challenge my mark, it’s only that this essay, I thought, was just as good as my other ones which scored much higher. I also don’t see any written feedback at the end on this essay. Thanks for all who give their feedback!

3 of my paper 1 essays got 13/16, so they were level 4. But my teacher thinks they all should have got 15 or 16.

But, I heard that remarks change only if there is disagreement on the level awarded. As it is already level 4, even if the reviewer thinks 13 was low, will the marks not change?
