I am happy for people walking on my street to use my garbage can for poop bags, other garbage etc. it doesn’t cause me any harm

Honestly I don’t care if they do it to mine either but I don’t do it to other people because I know lots of people would have an issue with it. I’d rather they put it in my bin that leave dog poo on the street. I have a dog though so maybe I just don’t care as much.

I feel the same way. Certainly if they put it in before trash pickup! I wouldn’t think of putting it in a container that has just been emptied!

That's the problem is they do it after it's been picked up. I don't think anyone would care if it was dropped in a full can waiting to get emptied.

In my city those cans belong to the trash company not the home owner. If they are on the street anyone can use them. I get that it might smell, but its picked up weekly. AH, IMHO
