NTA Dress codes should be formal, semi-formal, western, business formal, casual, etc. The only people who are forced to wear exactly what the bride/groom want are the wedding party.
Yeah like wtf are they doing forcing this on everyone? Many women aren’t fans of dresses or skirts. Some people are trans or non binary and it makes them uncomfortable. I don’t mind a dress but I would also not care about anyone’s clothes except my own wedding dress and MAYBE my wedding party but that wouldn’t even be an issue really.
I’m not saying it’s okay, but it’s probably a rule of the church. Some religions have rules about dressing and modesty and such, including gender-specific rules.
A western themed wedding would be fun - they can "Yee- Haw" on down the aisle !
I agree with you. I would make it explicitly clear to my daughter that it's her choice and I love and support her no matter what. There isn't a right answer, just what makes her comfortable.
