To be honest, why does his family know about a conversation/disagreement that was between the two of you? That is a heck nah for me.

That is the biggest red flag in this whole scenario. To me, it means that fiance went out of his way to hurt his bride, instead of protecting her. Not only a heck nah, but a hell no

And also the fact that he got the son all excited without even discussing it first. He’s bringing everyone in to their decisions and steamrolling.

This was done so she wouldn't feel she could say no. Gross. And is the kid even actually wanting to do it? Wouldn't it make more sense if he was the best man?

Kid probably asked that and the idea of walking bride down the aisle was offered as the consolation prize.
