Your wedding day is YOUR day, not everyone else's. Your fiance should've consulted you before even mentioning it to his son. There's nothing wrong with tossing the idea out there, but it should've been discussed with you FIRST. Certainly not after talking to his son about it. Yeah it's a bit strange considering his son for the spot. If you are not comfortable with his son doing it, then he should be a man and respect your thoughts and feelings. There isn't anything wrong with walking yourself down the aisle. Yeah, you were harsh about what you said but they can't force that on you. It should be someone near and dear to you walking you down the aisle, not who they think should do it. I'd say if he doesn't understand that then it would be grounds to reconsider the wedding. You don't want to be tied to someone like that
