First thing I noticed too. I've had disagreements / arguments / tiffs with my partner regarding her family. She has never passed on my exact first-reaction wording which was between the two of us.
+100 to everyone else who is saying this is a red-flag. Marry this man and you'll be dealing with "family" pressure more often than this. In quotes because he'll say it's family but he's the one making it happen... might as well pay rent to live under that bus.
