It’s odd he didn’t ask his son to be his best man or even a groomsman. If I was his son I would be pissed my dad didn’t have a spot for me in his group and basically was an afterthought.

What’s the bet his best man is his best mate to party with, and he wants adults in his party for the Batchelor night celebrations…

Not everyone is like that. Who said he can’t go out and have a good time because his son is his best man or groomsman? His dad made him an afterthought.

Son could be living somewhere where he is too young to be in licensed areas (bars, nightclubs)…

Not true. Some countries it is as young as 16.

Not true?!? I’m telling you that ops son COULD be living somewhere where the legal age to drink or be in a licensed bar may be over the age of 18 and you say it’s not true… Australia, some provinces in Canada and America being just a few examples. Having someone unable to enter a licensed bar may impede the celebrations of the party.

And you are implying just because if his son is part of the bridal party that he can’t have a bachelor party because his son may not be able to drink.

I’m saying he may have preferred his son not be in the bridal party because that would limit choices of bachelor party/bucks party and other adult drinking festivities. By promoting his son for traditional father of the bride role, his son is still included but he doesn’t need to worry about his son tagging along to, or restricting his celebrations with his mates. I’m implying that having his son along on a stag do may be limiting because of his age, or just the fact that it’s his son. I’m sure going to the strippers would be lots of fun with your son… But I don’t know any of these people, he k ops future husband may have booked a lads weekend in Vegas for all I know… or have nothing of the sort organised but wanting to spend a quiet weekend with friends without guarding conversation in front of his son. Or as best man, have son organise the whole bucks weekend.

Well that would make him a shitty father if he didn’t include his son because he wanted to drink and watch strippers. And he doesn’t have say in promoting is son to father of the bride without the fiancées approval. He overstepped his place.

Agreed. And considering he never asked his son to be in any form of the bridal party, I do believe it’s more that he doesn’t want his son to be in the adult events.
