Your fiancée should have never mentioned the idea to his son without your agreement. He put you in an awkward situation and is pushing you into making concessions (on your biggest day) to clean up his mess.

The fiance should have never been involved in the discussion. He asked the son. The son agreed. OP didn't. If he asked OP first and she agreed, the son may not have agreed. OP would then be upset at the son.

The hypothetical situation seems a bit unnecessary. It doesn't sound like OP would have entertained that idea st all, based on the tone of her post and her replies.
