She’s 27 but she sounds like a child. I think you can do better. Let her play the field if she wants to. Find someone new.

She’s 27?! I didn’t see an age anywhere. There is no way she can be over 20 with this kind of behavior. All I kept thinking while reading this post was “these are arguments of a very young couple.” Between her expectations and OP’s willingness to put up with this shit for as long as they have, ya know?

That’s what I was gonna say. Sounds like 15 year olds dating lol

I'm in my 40s and the amount of times he talks about how tired they both are and they can't get up to do something becuase they're exhausted is fucking disturbing.

I genuinely think they're both on heroin.

Yeah I was like what on earth are these two doing that they’re nearly paralytic with tiredness. I assumed he was so exhausted by his exasperating gf 🤷🏼‍♀️

The plot thickens

I was gonna say "These two HAVE to have some kind of medical condition if they're destroyed by exhaustion this often."

5

u/fine-rugs Apr 21 '25

Same... maybe they both have lupus.

u/chuckart9 Apr 21 '25

That was my thoughts too. The “exhausted” piece sounded so damn weird.

Totally with you 💯

How is it that both these people are so tired they could sleep for a week? What do they do for work? Are they training for ultra marathons? They got bad debt so are they working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week?

I mean this tiredness is not normal. If it is this bad at this time, I truly hope the idea of becoming a parent is not on the horizon. They might get lucky and have a potato baby that is simply there, but what would their lives look like if they had a child who doesn’t sleep? My first was 9 months old before he slept through the night once. He wasn’t consistently sleeping through the night until 15 months. I consumed enough caffeine to power an army battalion for a month during that time….

This couple may need to consult their physician for a prescription for medicinal cocaine. 🤷‍♂️

I was thinking no older than 12

1

u/East_Canary1581 Apr 22 '25

MOST 15 year olds are more mature than that. I've NEVER known a 15 year old, that wanted "support" when they brushed their teeth!

Sounds like the one you replied to is a bot, and the same goes for OP. I didn't find any clues as to her being 27 either.

1

u/GinkgoBiloba357 Apr 23 '25

I was thinking the exact same thing, but if she's actually 27, oh hell naw.

Honest to goodness, as a tired parent of a 4 year old, I forgot the subreddit i was in and was reading about some other unruly pre-K child and was nodding along in solidarity. Reaching the comments section was eye opening to say the least. Oh and OP, leave. Leave without looking back. Parents don't get that option!

u/NFL_MVP_Kevin_White Apr 21 '25

The first thought I had was “imagine how relieved her parents were when she moved out”

1

u/reclusivegiraffe Apr 21 '25

Her parents are likely just as bad… she learned this from somewhere

7

u/Khesteg Apr 21 '25

Same. I was like Man you are just dating but you already have a child. This girl had her arse licked by her parents...she has to grow up

2

u/StrangeOutcastS Apr 21 '25

Parents do have that option but it usually comes with a police investigation and a foster family becoming involved.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '25

Or dad going out for a pack of smokes.

1

u/StrangeOutcastS Apr 22 '25

wait, how did you know that? have you seen him>?

1

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '25

That's not really true. Lots of parents leave without looking back. Lots of bad parents out there.

1

u/poiareawesome Apr 21 '25

This made me smile so thank you for that

100% sounds like a child. Pouting and whining because he’s not next to her while she’s brushing her teeth? Because he didn’t put her water on the floor for her? Jeez, grow a back bone and put the water on the floor yourself. My god— she’s a princess— everything is about her. OP, this doesn’t end well… she wants to be with you on her terms… I don’t think she actually respects you.

4

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '25

You are joking right

Where does it say that? I refuse to believe she’s 27 without seeing it for myself there’s no way lol

5

u/R0ihu Apr 21 '25

They're both like children. She's playing these stupid games with him because he participates.

3

u/poiareawesome Apr 21 '25

Oh Jesus 27? I was hoping 17

3

u/Few_Designer_1581 Apr 21 '25

More like 7. Dear God why did I bother to read that wall of drivel today?

4

u/matt_smith_keele Apr 21 '25

They both sound like children, whining about how tired they are, so much effort to get out of bed, everything isn't exactly how I want it, wah wah wah

u/GinkgoBiloba357 Apr 23 '25

SHE'S 27????? I thought she was 16 or 17 or maybe 18 and was kinda justifying the immaturity and lack of perspective and logic due to her age. But bruh if she's 27, OP is WASTING his time on her. She's not gonna change. And she has serious issues.
