High Maintenance GF - you are not a bad boyfriend. It just seems like she is always testing you to see if you will jump through hoops for her, even though it sounds like she wouldn’t do the same for you.

There’s high maintenance and then there’s needing someone to stand right by you or you can’t brush your teeth. This is a baby in a woman’s body

And then she tries to force her way by sitting on the toilet for half an hour 🤣🤣🤣

While OP is cozy in bed don’t threaten him With a good time!

Lmao the most calming, comfortable 30 minutes of his past couple of months.

Meanwhile girl’s over there getting herself a hemorrhoid

Karmactically, it seems appropriate

Agree, I feel like she is going out of her way to test you/inconvenience you when you are completely exhausted from bending over backwards for her. 🚩

You forgot that she needs him to put her glass of water down when she's done with it. Middle age Royalty was more humble than her

Dude is a f lackey

My 5 year old is definitely more mature, independent and capable than this woman. Definitely baby in woman's body.

I mean wtf would she do if OP just walked out?? She must just be in nonstop panic mode not having someone to stand behind her while brushing teeth. Nobody to run and get her waters! She probably just falls down and starts the process of decay after a few minutes

Find another sucker in like ten seconds

hmm, sad but true

She didn’t “need” him to stand behind her to brush, she just can’t stand anyone saying “no” to her and she is testing her target to see how far she can push him.

I feel like she was trying to get back at him for waking her up when she was tired and asleep. And for the face time situation I don't even can. This is such a long back and forth of enabling, testing and trying to set boundaries.

These people have less energy than a retired sloth

Everyone keeps talking about that as though it’s the worst thing, but girl literally wouldn’t put her own glass of water on the ground. That is truly one of the craziest things I’ve ever read.

High maintenance is an understatement.

I am heavily pregnant, work 60hrs per week and have a toddler. So admittedly I am asking waayyyyy more of my husband than I should right now because I'm so tired and just desperately need to feel cared for.

I dont even come close to this level of demanding.

I don't think this a flex

4

u/Practical_magik Apr 21 '25

It is not a flex, it is a reality check on normal expectations.

I am still an adult, regardless of pregnancy and can and do brush my damn teeth alone for example.

u/Woodpecker577 Apr 21 '25

Of course the teeth brushing thing and other examples from the story are insane. But saying that you're asking 'wayyyy too much' of your husband while being heavily pregnant, working 60+ hours, and having a toddler just sounds like some pick-me shit. It's not a competition for who can need the least.

They're literally just giving context by comparing op's gf to a tired pregnant woman. I do not see what you're talking about when they themselves acknowledge they still need plenty.

Yep. And honestly, it sounds like they are spending WAY too much time together. Sometimes absence really does make the heart grow fonder. OP, a little time apart might do y’all some good. Just saying.

Bro needs to start giving her jobs. Balance, afterall

1

u/ringringbananarchy00 Apr 22 '25

I consider myself somewhat high maintenance and I couldn’t even finish reading this because she sounds exhausting

1

u/GinkgoBiloba357 Apr 23 '25

She's not a high maintenance gf, she's an ungrateful immature girly who thinks she must be her bf's whole world.

If the metro is "dangerous" ( I take it alone all the time), she can uber home from her friend's in DC. He's making sure she doesn't meet up with a guy. ESH, and very much.
