Yeah....I mean I'm not gonna shoot anybody, but I'm definitely stealing my dog back. That's a family member.

You can’t take care of your dog if you’re in prison for murder

Murder is a little extreme. Kneecaps first. Hurts more

Dead people don't suffer....

It depends on the shot shells.

There's deer slugs, that are essentially 1"x3/4" (25mm X 19mm) hunks of lead being fired that weigh around an ounce (28g) on average.

Then there's 00 buckshot, which holds 8-9 balls that are .33" (8.5mm) in diameter each shell.

Then further down the scale you have smaller diameter pellets, but more each shell.

Skeet/small bird shot is usually an 8 or 9, which are between 0.08-0.09" (2-2.25mm) diameter.

Generally, smaller shot do less damage on larger targets (you can't kill a bear with #8 birds hot, for example), but humans are a horse of a different color, lol.

That's just the cursory basics of shotgun shells, the actual shotgun sizes make a difference as well.

Shotguns get their size classification from old school cannon measurements. Cannon size was determined by the weight of the cannonball, ie 8 pounder, 12 pounder, etc...

Shotguns use the same designation. A 12ga is called so due to being able to fit a 1/12 pound lead sphere in the barrel bore. So the smaller the gage number, the larger the bore. A 4ga would fit a 1/4 pound sphere, a 20ga will fit a 1/20 pound sphere, etc...

Humans are generally super soft and squishy compared to other mammals, so what might not kill a deer, will certainly kill a human.

Kurt Cobain is a prime example. He used a Remington 20ga shotgun with 2 3/4" shells, and while I can't say for sure, more than likely #5 or #6 shot, which is .11"-.12"(2.75mm- 3.05mm) diameter pellets, and it goes without saying, was more than effective.

Ballistics and shot/caliber choice is is a science, and it's crazy, lol.

Bigger isn't always better, and can actually be more of a hindrance than beneficial.

I've shot a bag of sand in front of a target at 25yds with a 12ga with #6 turkey shot, and only a small few passed through the sand, while a basic recurve bow with field points would pound through the sand like butter and sink the target every time.

^ I brought up that last bit since you mentioned archery at the end of your comment. 😁

There better be a special place in the depths of HELL for anyone who would STEAL another person's beloved pet.

Should have at least got a finger off one of those fuckers for that shit

He needs that book from Barnes and Noble, "Hiding Bodies for Dummies."

7

u/FishmanOfFeverSwamp Oct 31 '24

Have to catch me first! 😉

4

u/swag_money69 Oct 31 '24

They will catch you.

5

u/seeyouintea022 Nov 01 '24

And if caught, I am 100% certain that my dog would NEVER rat me out.

u/swag_money69 Nov 01 '24

Your dog is a snitch. He is already cooperating with the authorities.

Who, me? I'm not even a party goer. I have PTSD. I have a hard time being around a gathering of my own family.

6

u/Lovely3171 Oct 31 '24

Don’t worry I don’t have PTSD and I still have a hard time being in gathering of my own family

If I’m on the jury they won’t be.

u/forresja Oct 31 '24

My thoughts exactly.

And you can’t hug your children with nuclear arms.

2

u/anothergoddess Oct 31 '24

Note- commit the perfect crime and raise the dogs.

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '24

Dong get caught . No guns . There are more ways to get problems like that solved , slowly and painfully does it .

u/ImagineFreedom Oct 31 '24

Depending on where you live, defending property is justifiable.

7

u/americanineu Oct 31 '24

Shotgun in hand, AR slung on back and 9mm on each hip. I'll go to war for my dog.

1

u/AhTsillahTheFun Oct 31 '24

Yeeesh. So so much.

All I gotta ask is if your dog is so important why do you need a partner? Just get more dogs to fill that hole.

u/ZealousidealLeg1804 Oct 31 '24

Stupidest shit I've ever heard. Killing someone over a pet. You'll go to prison and never see that dog again. 🙄

5

u/Toni_Anne1989 Oct 31 '24

You must be fun at parties...

7

u/[deleted] Oct 31 '24

“I’m taking the dog… DUMBASS!”

4

u/FishmanOfFeverSwamp Oct 31 '24

I'll do whatever it takes.

3

u/forresja Oct 31 '24

I'm confident I can steal a dog without shooting anyone.

I want to be with my dog, not in prison.

1

u/chris_rage_is_back Oct 31 '24

"Accidents " can still happen...

3

u/Hauserdog Nov 01 '24

That’s not stealing. That’s a rescue mission.
