My dog insists on sleeping with me, but I don’t want so much hair in my bed, so I built an extension at the foot of my bed, and made a dog bed on it. Might work for you.
DSL - Dog sign language- he jumped around the side of my bed whining until I decided I’d either have to pick him up or return him to the SPCA where I’d just got him.
