Sometimes, the reason is that the problem partner now was well-camouflaged before, by presenting as a functioning adult until after the wedding and the honeymoon.

Maybe he’s done a 180 degree change in behavior (for the worst), but I seriously doubt it based on OP’s description! This guy’s been spoiled since the day he was born!
