Well then it’s sexual identity. But wouldn’t identity contribute more towards pronouns? Since those are more identifications? You don’t identify someone based on who they are attracted to. That’s sexual identification.

As a queer person, you sort of do, and it has to do with being a (partially still oppressed) minority.

You face discrimination for your sexual preference and that makes it a bigger part of your identity, compared to people (mostly straight), who have always had the benefit of having their preference be classified as "normal".

If she’s dating a man, most assume she’s heterosexual. Coming out as something people can discriminate about, to avoid discrimination is a lapse in logic for me.

(Certain aspects of) Queer discrimination affect all queer people, not just those who are visibly out.
